10:00 a.m., Kyrll from Microsoft was on the stage right and presented an architectural diagram of how .NET interoperates with Java EE 5. He and Arun from Sun also showed an actual demonstration of how services implemented on Windows Communication Foundation can interact with their counterparts in Java EE 5, the demonstration showed how the WCF service asked and accepted the security tokens from the Java Security token service and exchanged data. Sun and Microsoft also announced the availability of Web Services Interoperability Technology (WSIT ) that has been donated to the open source community. Audiences were invited to look at the code and description of the demo jointly presented by Microsoft and Sun, we also have a joint session planned at 11:00 a.m. that discusses the project in detail.
10:10 a.m. A representative of Cap Gemini was called on the stage and showed BEPL based application, Jeff announced the ‘intent’ to donate the ‘Sun Java System Portal’ to the open source community over a period of time in bits and pieces. He also announced OpenJava EE that will have all the open source stuff in it, he also talked about the various community programs:
