I am gettinga similiar error, my secnario is that I deleted the custom issue list and used the one that come as part of the tracking lists... i created a field called discussion but still does not like it... ideas?? help I am not a developer but an avid user:

Your ReportingWSSSync job failed. Its current state is FailedNotBlocking. It was 0% complete. It entered the queue at 12/10/2009 14:29:13.

To get more information about the job failure, please go to Project Web Access. Select Personal Settings from the left menu. Then select My Queued Jobs.

The errors returned from the queue are as follows:

Error ID: 24018

Error ID: 24016

Error ID: 26000

Detailed error below - send it to the administrator for more detailed troubleshooting.

My problem is in Scenario 1,

but my resolution is alter status of AssignedTO and Owner in RISK list not on Issue list.

Thank you! I found one Issue (out of 90+) that had a blank owner. Set that, republished, re-cubed and all is now well! Demons exorcised.

I came here while is was searching for a discription of the Job state Reporting(WSS Sync), so let me try to say it after Reading of your article, please correct me if I was wrong:

The Reporting(WSS Sync) operation is about the syncronization that happens when you deals with a project (existing or new), syncronizing the data between the project and its workspace.
