It's hard to believe that it's time again for the Canadian Leadership Summit (CLS)...and yet here we are!
I'm in Redmond this week, along with about 200 Canadian IT leaders as we connect at the 2011 CLS to discuss current IT innovations, challenges and where Microsoft solutions - including our upcoming Office 365 cloud-based service - can fit into the business equation.
This year's theme at CLS, appropriately enough, is "The Rewards of Risk." Balancing innovation investment with the bottom line is a key challenge for many Canadian organizations. Through keynotes, breakout sessions and peer networking opportunities, we'll chat about how IT leaders can look to embrace risk as they look for innovative new ways to grow the organization through technology.
CLS attendees will especially like hearing from three term former Premier of British Columbia, the Honourable Gordon Campbell as he gives his take on the current innovation and growth imperatives for Canadian businesses. Microsoft Canada president Eric Gales will also be on hand to discuss the risks and rewards within a changing IT landscape.
As always, I look forward to connecting with my fellow Canadians for a fun and informative week. I'll be tweeting all week from CLS so be sure to follow me at ms_momentum and #CLS2011!
