About the Speakers

Bruce Johnston, Director of Application Infrastructure with Ideaca, has served as our CIO and established our western Canadian Portals and Collaboration practice. With almost 30 years of experience in IT, he has held various management, architecture, design, operations, hardware design, and software development roles and has been participating in the evolution of what is now known as “The Cloud” for almost a decade.

Peter van der Zouwe is the Partner Business Development Manager - Azure at Microsoft Canada. His primary responsibility in this role entails strategy development in building and recruiting strong partnerships between Microsoft and Canadian systems integrators. Throughout his previous 13 years at Microsoft and 19 total years in the IT industry, Peter has held various roles in business development, account management, sales, marketing and evangelism management.

Steve Eccelstone is the Vice President of Product Development at Jonas Software. During his 15+ years with the firm, he has held a number of positions across the support, installation and development departments and currently oversees development and product direction. Prior to Jonas, Steve worked for 16 years in heavy construction in positions ranging from field office manager, to estimator, to controller and holds an MBA from York's Schulich School of Business.
