IndiMix at Mumbai on 28th May

This year we are doing everything that you had asked for (and probably more than that). We are doing IndiMix at Mumbai on 28th May. Steve Ballmer will deliver the keynote and there are a lot of technical sessions for both developers and designers.

The event is at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

If you remember, we did IndiMix in 2006 at the same venue, that is exactly 4 years before.

This year its even more exciting with many of our main stream products and technologies, such as Visual Studio 2010, Silverlight 4 and the upcoming release of Expression v4 line of products.

We are trying to get some of the best speakers in the industry for the same and hence, we will be updating the agenda periodically.

TechEd India 2010 - A week to go

We are back with TechEd India 2010 in just a week from now. This time it is being held in Bangalore on April 12, 13 & 14 at Hotel LaLit.

With keynote by none other than S.Somasegar, Senior Vice President, Developer Division, Microsoft and more than 20 tracks across 3 days, this year promises to be a retreat of sorts.

This year event also combines with the launch of Visual Studio 2010 worldwide and we get to hear from technology experts on the new version of application lifecylce management tool. Other than Technical Tracks, we also have Hands on Labs, CXO Conclave, TDM Conclave, Partner Expo as well as Microsoft Showcase events adding spice to the event.

Day 2 has keynote by Kevin J. Smith from Intel and Day 3 has keynote by Sam Pitroda, Chairman, National Knowledge Commission, GOI.

Some of our partners who are also sponsors are Intel, Accenture, Sapient, Microfocus, Infragistics, Mindtree and Telerik. They would be sharing their knowledge via technical sessions, demos, booths etc.,

With less than a week to go, the internals teams are sweating out to bring the best technical content and entertainment to you all.

Register for Virtual TechDays - A precon for TechEd

We are back with Virtual TechDays for this quarter. This time its happening as a preconference to our mega technology event Tech Ed India. If you remember, last year, we did Tech Ed India in Hyderabad and it had huge anticipation as well as participation thanks to all your efforts. This time, we are doing Tech Ed India at Bangalore. For now, register for the upcoming Virtual TechDays where we will discuss a lot of upcoming technologies including your favorite Web Technologies and Windows Azure. We are back with Community TechDays starting January 23rd and it will be a month long tour across Jaipur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Siliguri, Kolkatta, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore and Mysore. Community TechDays is fast becoming our branded community event targetted at Developers and IT Professionals with sessions on latest technologies / products that we keep releasing.

The good thing about CTD is that its free for everyone to attend and also is over weekends so that people don't have to take time out from their regular work.

Last time when we delivered CTD people had great feedback for the sessions and we also did a Live Streaming of the event in certain locations which had rave views from those who couldn't attend in person but were able to watch it online.

We highly recommend you to visit www.communitytechdays.com and have a lot at the agenda as well as select your city (or the closest city) and register for the event ASAP.

Virtual TechDays November 2009 Videos and Presentation Downloads

It has been a long time since we talked to you over this blog although we have been interacting over various forums such as Virtual TechDays, Regional VirtualTechdays, TechForge India, etc.,

Virtual TechDays concluded almost a month back and we are sure you were eagerly looking for the presentations and videos. The good news is that, we have all of them uploaded to www.virtualtechdays.com

However, this time, we have done it in such a way that you wouldn’t have to wait to download the entire video to be able to watch them. We have made them download progressively, so that you can watch them without having to wait till the entire video is downloaded. The only thing you would require is to have the latest version of Silverlight runtime installed. You can download it for free from www.silverlight.net

Once you visit the site i.e. www.virtualtechdays.com, it loads the Silverlight player (if you already have SL installed) and then you would be able to see a screen as below:-

As you can see, the videos are categorized based on the track and you can choose to attend either the Developer Track / IT Pro Track or the Architect Track. Once you click on the same, you will get a listing of the sessions under the respective track as below:-

Once you click on a particular session from the listing above, a player starts showing as below

Also, in the bottom you can notice the links “Summary”, “Resources” and “Share”. The “Summary” provides the abstract of the session while the “Resources” is from where you could actually download the Presentation File. You can also share this with your friends using Facebook and other utilities from the “Share” tab.

You can also use the “<<” icon in the top to go back to listing and explore further sessions that you may want to attend.

We are in the process of getting the Regional VTD Session videos up as well and would follow up with a post once that is done. Till then, happy viewing the VTD Videos.

Community TechDays - a month of exiciting tour

We have been visiting you. We have had successfully delivered Community TechDays at Hyderabad, Jaipur and Delhi. Community TechDays is a community driven technology roadshow delivering cutting edge technology session. While we are present in most of the cities, we get to listen to community speakers deliveirng sessions on our technology rather than we delivering sessions.

At the moment, the registrations for Community TechDays have been pretty encouraging and we have 5-6 more cities to go. So, if you are in any of these cities, make sure you attend the Community TechDays. You can even get to meet and interact with our team members as well as other technology enthusiasits. Virtual TechDays is around the corner and as always the team is busy getting the things up to deliver the best experiences for you. Virtual TechDays is back and tell us what you want to hear

Our premier online event Virtual TechDays is back and we would be hosting this event in August 3rd week. The specific dates and other details would be up on the www.virtualtechdays.com website shortly. Meanwhile, you can visit the website and watch videos / download presentations of earlier Virtual TechDays.

We are collecting a list of various topics that would be of interest to developers, architects as well as IT professionals and would be putting up these options on the site. Once the registration link is available, you would be able to chose the topics that you would like to hear. This is our way to ensure that you listen to what you want to hear rather than what we want to talk.

This quarter is going to have some of the exciting releases such as the recent Silverlight release, Expression Blend 3 + Sketchflow RC release as well as the Windows 7 RC that was released sometime back. Hence, we have lots of stuff to talk about. Also, this is our first interaction with all of you post our mega Tech Ed in May this year.
