This year at WPC, we continue to focus on key trends that represent the most profitable models for partners and we are focused on – Cloud, Big Data, Mobility & Devices, Enterprise Social, and Leadership, Sales & Marketing. The 2014 Partner of the Year Award Winners and Finalists

From an industry solution perspective, partners are in our blood. We work together with our partners, we make joint investments in solutions and above all, our global partners and our global Power & Utilities community work together to drive business value for our customers.

At every WPC we seek nominations for partner(s) of the year award winners. There are numerous categories that span the enormous breadth of our products and solution offerings and you can take a look at the categories here. This year we received over 3,200 nominations from 112 different countries for the 46 different global award opportunities. While we could write pages on the accolades of the many partners that won awards, I wanted to call out two that received awards which we work very closely with not only in Power & Utilities but our parent organization of Manufacturing & Resources:

Winner: ICONICS for CityNext. The Microsoft CityNext Partner of the Year Award recognized ICONICS who best exemplified how their solutions addresses the most pressing challenges for cities and help them do “more with less”. ICONICS has been a terrific partner and has worked with us for many years and has become a leader in offering real-time visualization, HMI/SCADA, energy, fault detection, manufacturing intelligence. You can understand why they won this award by viewing the Energy Dashboard video and the Advanced Software for Building Automation video.

Winner: OSIsoft for Business Intelligence. OSIsoft was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in Business Intelligence with their PI System which is the industry standard in enterprise infrastructure for management of real-time data and events. OSIsoft has been an outstanding partner over the years in leveraging our business intelligence solutions to unlock the value of their PI System beyond the engineers that traditionally use PI to the Utility enterprise spanning OT & IT. You see why they won this award by taking a look at this amazing BI video demonstration.

We hope you can follow the WPC events this week as we say Salute to our wonderful partner community! – Jon C. Arnold
