Anyone recognize some of the names in the latest round of lawsuits filed against alleged dealers of counterfeit software? I think you will…

In case you have not seen the latest round of lawsuits filed to help protect consumers and support our legitimate resellers and Partners, you can read the PressPass release to see the latest round.  And I think you will recognize some of the names on the list…

As always, please continue to help us in this effort by reporting suspected illegal and counterfeit software distribution and use:

Method 1: E-mail

E-mail piracy@microsoft.com with the following information:

  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Company phone
  • Contact name at company
  • Why you suspect piracy
  • Names of suspected pirated products
  • Number of suspected illegal product installations
  • Your name (optional)
  • Your phone number (optional)

Method 2: Phone

Call the Microsoft Anti-Piracy Hotline at (800) RU-LEGIT. Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Company phone
  • Contact name at company
  • Why you suspect piracy
  • Names of suspected pirated products
  • Number of suspected illegal product installations

Method 3: Web

Fill out this online reporting form if you've seen piracy over the Internet or if you suspect a reseller of piracy.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,

  • Aaahhh, the joy that comes to those legitimate IT companies when these thieving, cheating, lying companies get prosecuted for piracy is second to none.  Weeding out the criminals and publicly humiliating them like this is a good thing.

These criminals are the ones (with their mates) who make the IT industry look bad.

Pirates, with their spamming, spyware mates, all need to get what's coming to them.
