For those of you not aware of it, the free "second shot" offer allows you to get a free, second shot at any IT professional, developer, or Microsoft Dynamics certification exam if you happen to not pass it the first time. From time to time we offer these free second shot promotions and right now is one of those times. The current offer covers exams taken between September 15, 2007 and January 30, 2008 and your second shot retake must be completed by January 31, 2008.
To take advantage of this offer, you do need to register for it. So don't just show up at your testing center, pay your fee, take the test, fail, then ask for the second shot, because that just won't work. So head over to the "Second Shot" promotion page to learn more about this and be sure to read the FAQ page for those little details you need to know about how it works.
Thank you and have a wonderful day,

Anybody who's bought a Microsoft Press training kit to get a 15% discount on the exam fee needs to be made aware that they CAN'T use their voucher if they're using the free "Second Pass" promotion. Yup if you bought a training kit to get the discount you're now having to effectively pay a 15% insurance fee compared with those who went elsewhere for their training material when you take up the "free" Second Pass promotion.
This is apparently by design and there's no way round it. Way to go Microsoft!
