Last summer I posted an announcement that yes, the Open License 3 promotion has been extended for Canada for this fiscal year. This pilot lowers the initial number of licenses to start a new Open License Agreement to three from the standard five as it exists most places today. During a recent Partner Introduction To Open Value Subscription Live Meeting, one Partner asked if Open Value Subscription would be included in this pilot in Canada.
After checking with the Worldwide Licensing Team, I am happy to tell you that, yes, during the term of the pilot program in Canada, the minimum for Open Value Subscription will also be three in Canada. Remember though, that the initial Open Value Subscription Agreement must be Company-wide for at least one of the Enterprise products, so this lower minimum would be applicable for a small business with 3 or 4 PCs in their company. For those of you in the United States, we do not have the Open 3 pilot program here, so this is applicable only to our neighbors up north in Canada.
Thank you and have a wonderful day,
