About Mike Swanson's Blog

My name is Mike Swanson, and I've been deeply involved with computers ever since the fourth grade (1978). In May, 2000, I accepted a full time job at Microsoft as a consultant working out of our Southfield, Michigan office. In January, 2005, my wife and I moved to Washington, and I've been working in our Developer and Platform Evangelism organization ever since. I'm deeply involved with both our MIX and PDC events.

Unlike many Microsoft blogs that focus on a single product or technology, I tend to write about anything that interests me. Most of the topics relate to technology, some of them are about experiments, some would be considered news, but I try to make sure that every post adds value. You won't see any "copy and paste" reposts here.

Most of all, I enjoy the connection to community that this blog enables. I read every single piece of feedback and respond to many. I also respond to nearly every e-mail I receive. The feedback keeps me grounded and in-touch with my audience, and I'm always happy to help answer questions.

Enjoy!
