Nearly 3,000 developers, technology experts, and MVPs attended the 2013 Silicon Valley Code Camp (SVCC) October 5-6.  The event, which was started by ASP.NET MVP Peter Kellner and several colleagues in 2006, is one of the largest Code Camps in the United States.  SVCC highlights developer-related knowledge and experience and shares it through formal presentations, informal chalk talks, and ad hoc discussions. Presenters range from experienced professionals to first-time public speakers.

“It was great to see that I had VB.NET, C#, and C++ devs in the room,” said Visual Basic MVP Deborah Kurata who presented on Visual Studio 2012/2013. “They were all very excited to see the many new features in Visual Studio … especially the code editing features and those amazing CodeLens features!”

At the event, 31 sessions were delivered by 23 MVPs and focused on development for Windows 8, Windows Azure as well as on web development, Visual Studio, SQL Server, functional programming with .NET, and C++11/14.

We caught up with SVCC creator and ASP.Net MVP Peter Kellner during the event.
