You asked, we answered. We have updated our public beta of RDC for Mac 2.0. The single biggest change that some of y'all will notice is that we have improved support for having connections to multiple machines open at once. Nice but there is still a bug w/ RDC2b2 where, when using Unsanity's Windowshade tool, when the RDC window is rolled up (leaving only the title bar), RDC doesn't force a redraw of the cursor.
This leaves an invisible cursor (although you can see it's effect on a button) as long as the cursor is inside the original (now invisible) bounding box of the RDC window. The moment it leaves the bounding box, the cursor reappears (or you can click the mouse to force a redraw).
And requiring a MS LiveID to file a bug is bogus.
We use Connect because it feeds directly into our bug database, meaning that we get richer data that helps us track down any bugs better. If you don't want to better enable us to fix your bug (even though it's with a rather questionable haxie, so I'm unsure whether this particular bug exists with our code as opposed to the haxie's code), then that's your choice.
