The Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) Division at Microsoft is about taking the Microsoft Technology Adoption message to the Independant Software Vendors (ISVs), Developers and to "anybody-and-everybody-developer" community. Microsoft events such as Professional Developers Conference (PDC), TechEd, and many such are managed and owned by our division. The Channel9 site under MSDN, falls under the DPE ownership.

Run by Sanjay Parthasarathy at Microsoft,  DPE is fast growing and is reaching out to larger number of developer and Global ISV communities than yesterday. We are making a huge difference in how Microsoft is perceived by these communities. Similar to other divisions at Microsoft, DPE is made up of and managed as several sub-divisions. The sub-division I work in, falls under the Technical Architect umbrella headed by Eddie Amos. Eddie is a Sr. Director at Microsoft heading a group of Technical Advisors and Architects who are chartered with helping and closely working with Global ISVs around the world. His group is reaching out to our ISVs with a single goal in mind, "making our partners successful by helping them adopt the Microsoft Technologies and Platforms".

In this video David Holladay interviews Eddie at the PDC 05 event. Listen and watch Eddie share his thoughts and ideas around his group in DPE.

David (DOC) is a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Microsoft (BTW, he sits right across from my office :). He runs the ISVChalkTalk site and practise to reach out to our ISVs and help understand the technology solutions they are offering on top of Microsoft Platforms.
