Earlier today, Microsoft announced the completed acquisition of Winternals and Sysinternals. Winternals and Sysinternals were both established in 1996 by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell. I’m sure most of you know Sysinternals well, as well as Mark Russinovich. Mark will be joining Microsoft as a Technical Fellow in the Windows Kernel team.  Bryce will be joining the Windows Component Technologies team as a Software Architect.

The Sysinternals community site will continue to be available, as will the tools on the site. We’re committed to the continued availability and evolution of this great community resource.

I love Winternals and Sysinternals tools and have used them avidly in my programming life to present. Glad to see them a part of the Microsoft org now.
