  • I cannot get the RTC to run on Windows Server 2012. The Service Tier runs and the RTC can be run from network workstations, but not the server itself.

A message is displayed but I don't know how to turn on the advised flags. Nothing is logged in the Event Viewer.

"The client could not establish a connection to the Nav service.

    FaultCode = 'InternalServiceFault'

Reason = 'The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.'

  • Great

  • In a previous statement for WS 2008 R2 it was mentioned

"Please note that compatibility for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 does not cover Business Notification for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Commerce Gateway."

I guess that this is valid also for WS 2012, is it possible to add a clear Verbatim on this statement as well ?

    Cheers

  • Does NAV 2009 R2 Classic Client run under Windows 8???

    Thanks!

  • Hello all,

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 and NAV 2009 R2 are both confirmed as compatible with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

    Best regards,

    The NAV Team

  • Classic Client for Nav 2009 R2 and Nav 2013 are also being supported on both Windows server 2012 and Windows 8.

Business Notification and Commerce gateway are still not supported.

It might help you locating why the client could not establish a connection to Nav Service…. “Reason = 'The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.

  • Dear NAV team:

you mention in this blog that Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 is confirmed as compatible with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

I would just like to confirm that this includes the NAV 2009 SP1 Classic Client, correct?

    Thanks!

  • I tried to install NAV 2013 on my Windows 8.1 PC, but it didn't halted on SQL server 2012 Express Installation. Please Help.

  • Is there an update for this compatibility statement as it relates to Windows Server 2012R2?  And what about Server Core for Windows Server R2?  As more clients move to virtualization, more of them are asking about Server Core.

  • Do you hav any news about the compatibility to Windows Server 2012R2 and Windows 8.1?
