We are proud to announce that we have shipped Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 and that it is now available for download. Yesterday, the announcement was made to the more than 500 partners at the sold-out Directions US event in Nashville, Tennessee. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 adds great new capabilities to the product such as single sign-on with Office 365 and SharePoint Online, a new UI for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client and the Windows client, a new foundation for cash management, a new Help Server, and powerful provisioning and administration tools. • No it isn't. As of this writing you cannot download it. At least not through that mess of page they call partnersource.

  • The "Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2: Download Page"-link on the frontpage of partnersource does not work. You have to search for it "NAV 2013 R2 Release"-search will bring you a list of hits where no. 2 (on my list) is what you are looking for. Direct link:

  • Hello Tommy and everyone else,

Unfortunately we saw a delay in getting the links updated on PartnerSource, but the download page is now available from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV page in PartnerSource.

We have added a direct link in the left pane of this blog. Here is the short version:

    go.microsoft.com/fwlink

  • how to create a new company in new NAV2013 R2 database

  • @Gunaseelan: Using the Administration Shell and then the Cmdlet New-NAVCompany.

  • Can Dynamics NAV 2013 r2 do the backup by Company ? I can't found Backup option in Development Environment.

  • Just small question - HOW TO BACKUP/RESTORE NAV OBJECTS (in FBK)?

  • I think I watched all videos released by Microsoft regarding multi-tenancy, and spend the last three days testing and experimenting.

As far as I can see there is no way to copy a company from one database into another if you do not use multi-tenancy.

In my opinion this is a big step backwards. Frankly speaking I am heavily disappointed.

To use multi-tenancy only to be able to copy companies between database is just absurd.

Multi-tenancy makes sense for Cloud solution not for a standard implementation.

  • Gunaseelan, you can also create a new company from the Windows client: Departments/Administration/IT Administration/General/Companies. Here you can also, copy, rename and delete companies.

  • Why did u remove restore/backup option from tool it is really headache for programmer

  • if I have NAV 2013 and NAV 2013 R2 installed on the same machine, how can I create new service for NAV 2013? The mmc doesn't work for NAV 2013.
