Well, with the annoucement this week of Windows Server 2008 as the official name for Windows Server CodeName "Longhorn" ( thank goodness I do not have to call it that again...way too long ) it got me thinking of all the other name posibilities that missed the mark. Here is my starter list.

 

  1. I can’t believe its not called Vista Server Server - All the comments around the Vista codebase
  2. Windows Server “the next generation” - star wars theme
  3. Windows Server "with lots of marketing terms" Enterprise edition - the normal naming for something big
  4. Windows Server “Centenary edition” 

Can anyone help build on this list?
