Microsoft IT Showcase is pleased to announce the publication of Protecting Privacy in the Development and Testing of Human Resources Applications, which discusses how Microsoft HR IT developed a strategy for sanitization (removal) of personal identifiable information to protect privacy during the development and testing of HR applications. 

Internal policies and governmental regulations dictate how Microsoft must handle and store personally identifiable information (PII) about employees. The Human Resources Information Technology (HR IT) team at Microsoft created a strategy for using live data feeds from applications that, by function, contain PII.
