MS Word 07 - Creating Labels - Help Please!

I have never blogged so I am not even sure if this is right, but I need help regarding MS Word - creating labels.

I used to be an expert on Word 97, but my computer died this summer and "had" to buy the updated version of Word 07. I can't seem to create labels. Every time I go to browse and select the source, which is an Excel file, Word 07 crashes and I get nothing. I have down loaded all updates, but nothing seems to work....

HELP! HELP! HELP!

Can anyone help me. I am trying to print my customer list for a mailing I am doing and I have 10 years of catch up to do to get this to work right from 97 to 07. uggggg!
