For 15 years Microsoft Tech∙Ed U.S. has been Microsoft’s largest annual technical education event for IT Professionals and Developers in the United States. Following a review of the Tech∙Ed events strategy, a number of changes will be implemented in 2008 to better serve the Developer and IT Professional communities in the U.S.
In 2008 we will organize the following back-to-back Tech∙Ed U. S. conferences:
Microsoft Tech∙Ed Developers will be Microsoft’s premier conference for providing Developers with technical education, product evaluation and community resources for building state-of-the-art software solutions for the enterprise. Content will continue to focus on current and soon to release Microsoft products and technologies, with an increased focus on technologies that are available for Community Technology Preview (CTP) prior to the next TechEd.
Microsoft Tech∙Ed IT Professionals will be Microsoft’s premiere conference designed to provide IT Professionals with the technical education, product evaluation and community resources to plan, architect, deploy, manage, and secure a connected enterprise. Content will continue to focus on current and soon to release Microsoft products and technologies, with an increased focus on technologies that are available for Community Technology Preview (CTP) prior to the next TechEd.
The two conferences will for the first time (in the US) run back-to-back in June 2008, creating Microsoft’s premier technical education platform in the U.S. and a central feature of the IT industry calendar. We believe we are better equipped to serve the needs of our technical audiences, and keep a healthy financial events structure by running them back to back.
The Tech∙Ed public website (www.microsoft.com/Tech∙Ed will be updated with information on the events’ new positioning.
