I try to start a remote stub connection with the following configuration:

Debugging Target:

- Windows8 x64 RTM (virtual VMware machine)

- firewall turned off

- dbgsrv version: ? (windbg version: 6.8.0004.0)

Debugging Host:

- Windows7 x64 SP1

- firewall turned off

- windbg version: 6.2.8229.0

I make the following steps:

- on the Debugging Target I open a command window (running as Administrator)

- run: ">dbgsrv -t tcp:port=4445"

- on the Debugging Host I open a new WinDbg window (also running as Administrator)

- from file menu, I choose "Connect to Remote Stub..."

- i type the following connection string: "tcp:port=4445,server=<the debug target's name>"

- then, from the File menu I choose "Attach to Process"

but all I have is an "Unable to connect to process server" message here.

why is that?

Interesting Finds: 2009.02.10

.NET.NETGoogleReaderAPIHandlingoflargebytearrays-Allocationandcopyoflargebyte...
