TechEd Orlando is coming up in a little over a week -- 6-10 June.  If you're attending the event, you have a chance to play a game we're hosting to enable people to interact with mobile devices, meet peers and have fun.  We're calling it "Mobilizer Madness" and it's developed by The Go Game out of San Francisco.  Here's how it works:

Gather up a resourceful team and play the hour-long technology-fueled scavenger hunt throughout the Orange County Convention Center.  Teams of up to 8 players will download clues on the brand new VX6600 Verizon Windows Mobile-based Smartphone.  There will be cool prizes for the winning teams.

Missions will involve your wits, your guts and your collective grey matter.  Some will involve interfacing with actors who are 'in' on the game, others center around TechEd content and your far-reaching knowledge of all things Windows Mobile.  Some will even require you to stage creative photos in response to open-ended missions.  The creative photo submissions will be judged by your peers during the game, and points awarded accordingly.

Informational sessions are taking place in the meal hall at 8:00AM on June 6-8.  The Game will begin in the meal hall each of the following days:

  • June 6 – 7:30PM
  • June 7 – 6:30PM
  • June 8 – 6:30PM

Sign up now, as spaces are filling up fast at www.mobilizergame.com.

This event will be a great chance for developers and IT professionals to meet, interact with and compete aginst their peers, building a stronger Windows Mobile and Embedded Community in the process.  If you're unable to attend, you can follow next week's action on this and other Windows Mobile and Embedded msdn.microsoft.com blogs as the game progresses.
