Are you up to date with the latest apps to hit our Stores? Hot off the press, two new kiwi apps to hit the Windows Store are TradeMe Property and MetService Towns and Cities.

TradeMe Property, built by LazyWorm Apps, is a great example of taking something useful on the web and delivering it as a great modern app experience. The app includes all the great features of the web, but makes the experience much more immersive by including full screen images, and a beautiful map view of properties available in a given area. Download it now and take a look for yourself!

MetService was built by Datacom and Pikselin to provide a content-rich app on weather services in New Zealand – including videos, severe weather warnings, and weekly forecasts. The phone app is available now, and the tablet app will be available on Wednesday 18th June here.

Another great Windows Phone app released recently – MovieJax – was built by the team at Marker Metro as a movie editing app. It’s clear why it is generating great reviews, as the app lets you quickly capture and add your own video, embellish with your favourite background music, then share your creation out with friends and family at the tap of a button.

Finally on the app front, not too long ago movie and TV streaming service Quickflix was released on the Windows Store. Quickflix have now launched on XBOX One and, as part of the launch, Quickflix are offering a free 1-month trial including a free new release to all new customers to try out their service across multiple devices.

To close off, I wanted to give some of our Imagine Cup watchers an update on the 2014 competition. The New Zealand Finals were held back in April, and our winning teams had to qualify for a place at the Worldwide Finals – competing with more than 80 countries for a place in their respective category’s Top 10. I am proud to say Team Meep from the Innovation Category will represent New Zealand at the Worldwide Finals in Seattle this year, where they will compete for a top prize of USD$50k! Follow the team as they continue their journey in the 2014 competition.

You’re now officially up to date with what’s happening in the kiwi Windows app space! Stay tuned for updates!
