Firstly to use Silveright, you need to install the free Silverlight plugin. Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Download this plug in from
silverlight.net
.
Demo 1 -
http://www.popfly.com/
To use popfly all you need is a Windows Live ID, you can get that
here
. Once you have created your Windows Live ID, go to
http://www.popfly.com/
and sign in using this ID, then get start creating your own mash ups to share with your friends and family.
Demo 2 -
Silverlight Video Streaming
To start creating your own Silverlight videos, first create a Silverlight account here
silverlight.live.com
. Then get your hands on our expression encoder tool to create your Silverlight videos, you can either get it through your department if they have an MSDNAA subscription, first check here
microsoft.co.nz/msdnaa
. If your department does not have MSDNAA then go
here
to get your free trial version. Once you have completed these steps go
here
to get instructions on how to set up your tool to quickly publish Silverlight videos to your Silverlight account.
Demo 3 - Expression Blend
To start creating your own Silverlight applications, first get your hands on our Expression Blend tool either through your department if they have an MSDNAA subscription, first check here
