Imagine Cup 2010 kicks off tomorrow here is Warsaw. The second bigger competition is the Embedded Development one, and I will be following up the 15 teams arriving today not only to compete for a nice check but also and certainly mostly for the experience of Imagine Cup.

Warsaw is preparing to celebrate  Chopin’s 200th Birthday, and The Imagine Cup team managed to secure the Palace of Culture and Science, so there will definitively be a Chopin’s flavor to this year’s IC edition.

I am really excited to see what the Embedded Development competitors’ projects look like, new innovative ideas about how to use technologies to make the world a better place. The students competing in the Embedded Development Invitational had to use Windows Embedded CE to create their embedded solution, like last year where we had projects as diverse as devices to optimize agriculture, devices to do insects farming to feed starving populations in remote areas, devices to help blind people access the Internet,…

I visited the Palace of Culture today (nicknamed PKiN… standing for Palac Kultury I Nauki) to go through the event’s rooms and check out on the technical setups. Here are some pictures of the external stage that is getting prepared for tomorrow’s opening ceremony and of some of the rooms:

Stay tuned for the kick off tomorrow.
