Rob, thanks for your interest. Entering your app into the contest does not change any terms or ownership of the app. You will continue to own the app and earn 80% on app revenue

If I build an App and submit it for the contest, do I still get to keep ownership of the App? When it sells on the App Store do I still get to keep my 80%? Or does Microsoft own it now?

Hi Kathy, you need to first build an app and submit it on the Office Store. Then, you can fill out and submit the Entry form to participate in the contest. More information on rules and registration, as well as the Entry form, are available here: officeappcontest.com/Registration.aspx

Hi Marco, thanks for your interest in the contest. You are right, the contest is currently not open to residents of Quebec. We will be launching broader programs in the future as we rollout our outreach across more geographies. The Office Store though is currently open for developers from Quebec. You can visit sellerdashboard.microsoft.com today and submit apps to be listed on the Office Store. We hope to see your apps on the Store soon :)

Hey Vivek, I live in Canada and the contest exclude the residents of Quebec!!! How about that!

The contest is NOT opened to all residents of Canada. This is getting very annoying.

Hey Edgar, thanks for your interest in the contest. Currently, the contest is only open to participants from the US, UK, India, Canada and Australia. We have a lot of developers in other countries and are eager to roll something out to other geographies in the future. In the meantime you can start submitting apps to the Office Store by visiting sellerdashboard.microsoft.com.
