This has been a subject of much debate and many people wonder why the land that invented the Zero lost its magic touch along the way. Bernard Lunn recently wrote an article about the state of innovation in India. While India does not seem to be focussing on "killer apps" or disruptive technology innovation, there's plenty of innovation in the services space and also in using technology as an incremental enabler. India continues to possess a massive labour force. So technologies that eliminate jobs will not be very popular in India. Instead, technologies that focus on connectivity, collaboration and efficiency are the ones that stand a better chance of succeeding.
So what do you think? Is India innovating enough? And as fast as it needs to?
