With a design direction achieved, the team has started development work to prove the desired functionality can be built in Silverlight 2 Beta 1. Our goal early in the process to validate that SL 2 Beta 1 is indeed the proper technology choice. The major areas functionality the team is attempting to prove out include:

·         Folder based browsing of popular search topics

·         Index based filtering of search results, both pre and post search

·         Conduct multiple searches and persist results sets in multiple result windows

·         Provide multiple view of search results, both traditional list based and a Vista like Icon based view

·         Drag-n-save feature for holding your selected search results

While it still too early in the process to share samples, we are excited to get our hands into new technology and provide an improved search experience for our partners.
