Metaliq and I connected back in the fall of 2007 to begin working on the project, but due to business justifications, yada-yada-yada, we didn’t end up beginning the project until February 2008.  Fast forward through legal sign-offs, design reviews, hosting analysis, and we arrive in mid-May 2008 where Metaliq really had the app and requirements spec’d so they could begin developing the Digital Forum site. Also it should be noted that a couple weeks into development we switched from Silverlight 2 beta 1 to the newly released Silverlight 2 beta 2.  In parallel to Metaliq’s development effort I began soliciting for partners to submit videos to be pre-load on the site.  One note to all you developers out there, there is a market need for simple authenticated FTP solutions for large files.  One company that does seem to do this pretty well is YouSentIt.  If anyone knows of any others please let me know.
