My name is Pasi Mäkinen. I aim to narrow the gap between the open source communities and Microsoft through research, collaboration and community engagement in Finland. Openness and interoperability strategy development and implementation, open data and competitiveness in the cloud platform offering are also in my field of interests. Internally, I'm responsible for driving the competitive culture, strategy and intelligence.
As one can deduct from the older posts, in my previous role, I managed relationships with architects of Microsoft’s largest clients and partners. The role involved keeping the architects and technology decision makers updated on future Microsoft concepts, architectures, technologies and products. I advised partners and clients on their architecture plans and designs. Main focus was within the application platforms, last two years within the cloud platforms.
I'm based in Helsinki, Finland. My private life passion is photography. My main interests are portraiture, large panoramas and cityscapes.
