image For those who don’t know, Phizzpop is an international web design and development competition run by Microsoft.

Round three of the competition just kicked off and the challenge is to “Help Global Electronics raise awareness for its annual Run4Power 5K race, a community-based fundraiser, by creating an online merchandise catalog to promote and support the race”.

If you want to showcase your talent and ability I would recommend you check it out and give it a try.

The deadline for the round three challenge is the 24th of March so… hurry up.

How To Compete
Here's how to compete in the online PhizzPop Design Challenge:

  1. Register for PhizzPop. When you select your country from the dropdown, we'll know you are participating internationally in the contest.
  2. Review the Design Challenge(s)
  3. Take the associated video training
  4. Create your solution that addresses the Design Challenge, using Microsoft Web Technologies.
  5. Register and submit your Design Challenge solution.
  6. After your Design Challenge solution has been submitted, it will be screened and then placed into the gallery where other designers and the general public worldwide can rate it!
  7. At the conclusion of each Challenge, all entries will be judged. International Judges will be looking for the following:
    • Creativity/Aesthetics – How visually appealing is the solution?
    • Originality/Uniqueness of Overall Solution – Is the solution unique, differentiated, and defensible?
    • Production/Technical Quality – How well does the solution incorporate the Microsoft technologies? How well does the solution work?

Even though international and US entries reside in the same gallery, voting and judging will be conducted independent of each other with unique judging panels and separate awards
