Over the next week we'll feature a few different stories about the efforts we take to recognize women in technology. Today one of our HR Business Partners wrote about a Charlotte event for Women in Technology (WIT) which took place in early July. Sounds like a great time was had by all!
"The 2nd Annual North Carolina Women in Technology Conference was held at the Charlotte, N.C. campus on July 2, 2009. This event provided participants (open to all employees at the NC site) valuable insight into what others have done to grow their careers, build technical knowledge, network and participate in the mentoring process. In addition to the panel discussion there was the popular “World Café sessions” where subgroups of the audience were able to listen to quick 15 minute sessions in a round-robin format on the topics of – the Technical Leadership program; North Carolina Product Donation Council (how to join this council and updates on our community donations); specialized business organizations within CSS and an update from our Charlotte Campus Director & Sr. Director."
