As the 5th largest country in the world occupying almost half of South America, Brazil is the largest of Microsoft’s LATAM subsidiaries by both area and population.   It has established itself as an economic and political leader in the region and is reported to have emerged early from the world wide economic due to its industries Energy, Agriculture, Petrochemicals and manufacturing industries

Brazil’s tremendous economic growth over the past three decades has earned it a place on the list of four most promising emerging markets (BRIC countries) and its strength is derived from its large labor pool and a strong exports market that includes aircraft, coffee, soybean, iron, steel and ethanol.

This vibrant and exciting country is home to the top ranking Football team in the world which has won the world cup a record five times!  Brazilians speak Portuguese and enjoy a geography that includes beautiful islands, plains, rain forests, waterfalls and  beaches. Its most famous event is Carnival – a festival of street parades and vibrant music that is held 40 days before Easter and marks the beginning of the Catholic Lent season.

The Microsoft PFE team in Brazil consists of 19 Premier Field Engineers – our largest in LATAM.   The team consists of both Dedicated (focused on one client need at a time) and Transactional (responsible for numerous client needs) PFE’s.  The team supports clients in Sao Paolo, Brasilia, Rio De Janeiro and a variety of other cities so they travel to new locations regularly.  This variety of clients, platforms and project teams is part of what attracts candidates to the Field Engineering role and the wide exposure to different technologies arms our PFE’s with a unique and very valuable skills base.

Giving back is an important commitment for the PFE Brazil team and they focus on charitable projects each year.  As noted above they team has established computer classes for the elderly to increase social interaction and learnings and has orchestrated the donation of Microsoft software to this organization.   More on this to follow !

Microsoft’s PFE team in Brazil is always interested in talking to engineers with senior level expertise in Sharepoint, Platforms, Messaging, Active Directory, Development, Security and SCCM/Management.  Fluency in English and Portuguese is required and we’ll consider Brazil –based candidates or those interested in working in this beautiful country.  Let us know if you are interested in finding out more !
