In case you didn't know, here's how you can impress your friends tonight: this week marked Ada Lovelace day (it was actually yesterday), an annual day dedicated to commemorate Ada Lovelace and the achievements of women in technology and science.

With that in mind, ZDNet has started a series profiling women at Microsoft in technical roles.
