We know the week isn't quite over yet, but exciting things have been happening this week and we can't wait to share!

First, we at CSS want to send danah boyd and Carolyn Everson very big congratulations for making Fortune's 40 Under 40 list last week! Both women work in Microsoft: danah as a social media researcher and Carolyn as the CVP for Global Ad Sales with Microsoft Advertising. As Microsoft recruiters we want to be sure to share these successes with our community whether they touch CSS directly or not. These are the kinds of colleagues you could be working with if (and when) you find yourself at Microsoft. Read more about danah in Fortune's "Stars to Watch" feature and more about Carolyn in Fortune's article here.

Also very exciting this week was the first sale of a Windows Phone 7! Congratulations to New Zealand customer Jourdan Templeton for being the first person in the world to buy a Windows Phone 7 device. With his purchase our global Customer Service & Support teams kick into gear to help make this launch one of the best experiences for our customers.

Not to be outdone, the Xbox Kinect also made headlines this week, gearing up for its November 4 release. Oprah, America's favorite talk show host, has put her seal of approval on the Kinect - a particular endorsement authors all over the world have already experienced. If you missed Oprah declaring the Kinect "The next big thing!" this week, check out <i>Ellen</i> on Thursday, October 28, for another shot to watch Kinect make the daytime talk show circuit. If you've been putting off learning more about Kinect for yoursef - check out the offical Microsoft Xbox Kinect home page. You can pre-order the Kinect from the Microsoft Store to avoid the long lines and midnight release madness. Or check out these retailers if that kind of excitement is more up your alley.
