Hi Eric,

Thanks for this wonderful piece of information.

I am actually trying to call this webservice through code.

I was wondering how the proxy id and target control id are getting generated. I can see that it is appending a guid. How can we access these from code?

Any suggestions?

Hi Eric, thanks for the post. CriTrace helped me out quite a bit in my debugging (at least it pointed out where I didn't have my problems). It was greatly appreciated!

One quick thing, I tried updating the web.config in the RenderingService.asmx directory, and that did not work for me. I found that I had to edit and add to the appsettings in the primary web.config of the site that I was publishing through (my portal so to speak).
