When I've discussed Silverlight's cross-platform support, the first question I always get is "What about Linux?" Well, along with the release of 1.0, Microsoft has also announced that there will be full support for Silverlight on Linux! That's a big piece of the cross-platform puzzle finally coming into the picture. Silverlight on Linux will be a joint effort with Novell.
Silverlight was the first to introduce the ability to stream HD video content at 720p earlier this year. Now support for the popular H.264 format has been added too.
