&lt;p&gt;The tools use the ETW trace processing API's in vista for trace file processing. &amp;nbsp;The ETW infrastructure in XP doesn't support all the functinaltiy needed for the ETL decoding. &amp;nbsp;However, you can use the xperf command line tool to take traces on XP and then move the ETL files to a Vista based system for analysis.&lt;/p&gt;
