WHO IS SPONSORING THIS CONTEST?

Why would an Excel-centric developer want to go to the PASS conference? I thought that was who PowerBI was built for.
So, this contest states you can use Q&A... Can you confirm that the plan is to turn on Q&A for non-sample workbooks on or before Nov 6th?
How can we build out a demo if the preview doesn't allow us to do Q&A against anything other than the two sample workbooks? I am hoping this is fixed soon...
@David H - Power BI is part of the theme tracks that we have on both PASS Summit and PASS BAC conferences. These includes demos, technical discussions and general interest topics around Excel and Power BI. PASS BAC is the perfect opportunity for an Excel centric developer to learn more about Power BI in any level, connect with power users and find out the latest news around the product and its features. Besides, the winner demo will be shown at the Keynote. Good luck if you decide to enter, the contest opened for submissions today!
@Chris and Mike - We’re working hard on enabling Q&A for your own custom data before the submission deadline. We’ll update the blog as we have more details to share. Stay tuned!
Sad to see Australia is not on the list of the Power BI Preview (and hence not eligible for the competition) :(
Would really love to enter - any idea why Aus is excluded when so many other countries are there?
@Ben: mate I think the issue might be that Telstra has exclusive rights to Office 365 and therefore Power BI? Perhaps unsurprisingly this has led to a poor outcome for Australian customers who cannot have input to these products and this contest. I'm happy to stand corrected if this is not the case.
@PowerBI: please use this disappointing state of affairs to prod Telstra to lift their game.
