Automating the world one-liner at a time…
Today at the keynote at ITForum in Barcelona, we announced the official release of Windows PowerShell 1.0!
For those of you unfamiliar with Windows PowerShell, it is a best of breed next-generation commandline shell designed from the ground up to be flexible and powerful while still remaining easy to use. Many thanks go to our friends at MySpace.com for coming all the way to Barcelona to show how they're using Windows PowerShell in production today for the mission critical task of maintaining and managing the second busiest website in the world.
To download Windows PowerShell, please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/powershell/download
Thanks again and Enjoy!

Update: PowerShell is also available for Vista-RC1 and Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn" IDS 5600. Please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/powershell/download
[Edit: Updated links 2:40pm and clarified Vista information. ]
Download links are dead...
We've been getting some reports that folks aren't always to download PowerShell. We're looking into this now.
The keynote at IT Forum announces that Windows PowerShell RTM’s today. It should be available for
All I can find is this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926140
But download links also not working there :(
WTF? where's the PS download?
I looked at the link provided by TheMuuj, but it points to RC2, not the new 1.0 release.
Looking forward to the working download link. :-)
excellent work gents. All we need now are other microsoft products to get with the program ;-)
All we need now is it working with Vista!
April fools day is still about 6 months away... those links (as noted by others) go nowhere.
Let me get this straight, Vista (Microsoft's revolutionary new OS) and PowerShell (Microsoft's revolutionary new scripting language) DO NOT WORK TOGETHER! What?!? Did someone not inform the PowerShell team that Vista is done? Windows XP is old, who cares if powershell works on XP. If it doesn't work on Vista then it's as good as junk.
It was announced in Europe.. I guess there's a time difference with the download servers in the West Coast or maybe they can't read clocks..
perhaps update your blog entry to indicate that you are working on fixing the links to the downloads...
Seriously. How did this not RTM without a Vista installer????? I ask again... How did this not RTM without a Vista installer?????
As you probably know Windows Powershell has RTWed ! You can find the download links and more information
