Automating the world one-liner at a time…
Here is another change for those of you coming to MMS. Yesterday I reviewed the demo that we'll be showing at this session and was really excited by what I saw. We video taped it for Channel9 so if you miss the talk/demo, you'll be able to see it sometime in the future
SW08 Managing systems with Windows PowerShell/Managing AD using PowerShell
Wednesday, March 28 2:15 PM - 3:30 PM, Room 20D Speaker(s): Jeffrey SnoverTrack(s): Windows Management TechnologySession Type(s): BreakoutProducts(s): Windows PowerShell
The first half of this session focuses on how to learn how to manage your systems using Windows PowerShell. How to learn PowerShell, how to leverage the PowerShell community, how to discover the capabilities of the system, how to manipulate the system and how to migrate from ad hoc discovery of the system to formalized scripts. The second half of the system focuses on Managing Active Directory – what the problems are and what PowerShell freeware and products can help address those problems.

so what's in the next version of powershell, hey Jeff?
you left some spam at my blog, boasting about how groovy the new version's gonna be -- and i've heard from an RD who says it's gonna be good as well (you know the one)... so 'fess up! Spills the beans, man! Leak the info! Give us the goss'! Speak, dammit! Speak!
i've been racking my brain and i reckon the default font colour will be green. And maybe the file extension ".ps2" will be used. And that's all.
another possibility for Powershell v2:
different (and more integrated) ways to make args to scripts mandatory.
also -- ability to overload a function.
And better yet: use pattern matching in the overloading.
I can not migrate to use MMS in my MTN net work. Please, direct my how to connect and make use of the MMS facility.
