Since there was so much interest as clearly seen by the number of questions I got post walk the success lane event, it only made sense to write a quick followup blog post on Microsoft Academic Programs. This blog post is the first in a series of blog posts on Microsoft Academic Programs which would give details on each of the programs/initiatives.

So in Singapore, for the institutes of higher learning we have the following main gobal programs  -

Apart from these global programs, we run some activities locally focussing on Singapore schools -

  • Walk the Success Lane quarterly event at Microsoft office exclusively for Students and faculty
  • Support creation of Student technology clubs on campus
  • Drive Singapore Local competitions such as mash-it-up being held in september
  • Student attachment at Microsoft Innovation Center, Singapore
  • Bootcamps or mini-events at school campuses on new and cutting edge technologies from Microsoft

These are in a nutshell the initiatives that we drive to enable the next generation of IT professionals in Singapore.

I will be writing about each of these programs and initiatives in subsequent posts...so stay tuned!
