Hi All,

Well this blog post is an attempt to revive a dead blog. Its been a long long time since I visited this blog of mine. It ended activity with the end of my tenure as the ADE at Microsoft, India.  Now i am back again in the same role after a hiatus of about 2 years but in a different country. I am now the ADE at Microsoft singapore.

A totally different experience to be here in a different country but when it comes to academia nothing much seems different. Its the same motivations, the same aspirations, the same apprehensions , the same ambitions....so getting settled in this job was not much of a challenge.

Well, recently we finished our first big academic event - Walk the Success Lane. I am happy to share updates from the event - we had a packed auditorium with almost 200 attendees from mainly the three universities in singapore - NTU, NUS and SMU. Polytechnic crowd was understandably missing in action because it was exam time for them.

I would say it was an exciting experience for me to see so much interest around our technology in the singapore student community. It made me feel more pumped up about this job that I recenly took over.

I got a lot of mails after the event asking questions around the programs we run in academia, so I decided to use this existing blog to update everyone in one place rather than writing separate mails. So stay tuned to this place for news or updates on our activities in Singapore.

There will be followup posts about our forth coming events here and also more details on the Mash-it-up competition.

Feel free to share information around whats happening in your school and where you think Microsoft could come in and contribute.  We love to hear from you all!

So much for the first blog after a long time..

More later..
