I know that none of the people who are subscribed to this blog needs this, but you know that some of the developers on your project team does. :)

Seriously, if you have Jr. Developers, Friends, Family who want to learn how to write software but need the training and tools to with the classes, then try this out.  http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/beginner/

Here's the description from the site, to tell you what the goal is:

"Welcome to the Beginner Developer Learning Center - a centralized learning environment specifically targeted to beginning programmers. Here you'll find a rich array of learning content that starts with the very basics, and guides you through step-by-step to becoming a fully-fledged developer!

No experience or programming knowledge required - so dive right in!"

Oh, and one of the nicest parts of the site is the "Kids Corner", found on the left navigation or (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/beginner/kids/default.aspx).  They have "C# for Sharp Kids" and "VB for Very Bright Kids" and many more subjects.  It's time for your 8 year old to earn his/her keep, so get them started now.
