General James E. Cartwright, Steve Wozniak, David F. McQueeney, and Martha Johnson to address Technology for the Missions of Government

As Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the second highest ranking military officer, General James Cartwright will address how Defense Department innovations and social media are redefining the military’s efforts to improve collaboration, speed decision making and fully empower today’s civilian personnel and service members.
Entrepreneur and philanthropist Steve Wozniak will address fostering creativity and innovation in any environment. As co-founder of Apple, Inc, he will discuss his personal view on the revolution underway in mobile computing, the ―Internet of Things,‖ artificial intelligence and what it takes to unleash creativity, innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset in big enterprises.
The leader of IBM’s worldwide software research portfolio, David McQueeney will focus his keynote speech on new frontiers in information science. He will discuss how the technology behind Watson, the super-computer and Jeopardy contestant, can be applied to current government IT challenges, and what it may hold for the future of education, health, transportation, economic development and public safety.
GSA Administrator Martha Johnson will provide a roadmap of what agency and industry executives can expect heading into 2012 in light of the current budget pressures—as well as an overview of GSA programs and services.
