Hi everyone,As you may have recently seen, our former MIC Manager Emily Easterby has accepted a role with Microsoft in New Zealand. After spending three years with the team here in the Brisbane office and helping setup the MIC right from the beginning, Emily will definitely be missed!
About Me (Professionally)
I'm joining the MIC after five years working for QUT in a variety of roles across Marketing, Events, Community Development/Engagement and Leadership/Workshop Facilitation.
When I wasn't working for the university I also graduated from a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and have since continued into a Master of Business (International Business) - Advanced. Thankfully I'm loving every minute of it as I dive head first into the world of contemporary business strategy!
About Me (Personally)
I'm unashamedly addicted to cool technology so if you're working on something that you want feedback on, definitely shoot it over to me so I can have a play!
Random interests: Snowboarding, UI & Print Design, Dragon Boating, Dodgeball, Social Enterprise (I absolutely love hearing about awesome new ones!), Movies.
What's next for the MIC?
The first year of the MIC was huge but I have a feeling that the next 12 months are going to be even bigger!
We've got lots of exciting events and activities planned which I can't wait to see happen!
The MIC really is a space for you though so I would love to hear your thoughts on what you want to see happen here at the MIC. Feel free to introduce yourself and send any ideas through to firstname.lastname@example.orgPlus, make sure you say hi when you're next in the centre! I'd love to hear about what you're working on and see how I can support you better.
Bring on the next 12 months at the MIC!
