Profile pic - Quoc Bui Quoc Bui works for Microsoft, and is a member of the Business Platform Division (Product Group)’s AppFabric Customer Advisory (Technology) Team. His geographical area of coverage spans all of Asia (including Australia / New Zealand) - where he visits a variety of customers to provide prescriptive guidance on distributed architecture design, and is primarily responsible for BizTalk Server, AppFabric, Azure, as well as Windows Communication Foundation, and Windows Workflow Foundation. He is also part of the product group effort to define next generation product evolutions. Quoc has been involved with distributed application design since 1998 – has incorporated and taught Microsoft anchored solutions all over the United States, Europe, and Asia. He was in Microsoft Consulting Services where he focused on providing enterprise solutions to customers in the United States and Europe. He also spent a year as a BizTalk Server (and SQL Server) Product Technology Specialist in Singapore.

The AppFabric Customer Advisory Team (former known as BizTalk Server Customer Advisory Team) focuses on high-profile customers specifically to transfer knowledge, and works with account teams, solution partners, Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS), and Premier Field Engineering (PFE). The Business Platform Division is a product group that is responsible for SQL Server, BizTalk Server, AppFabric Server, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and a few nascent .NET related technologies. Aside from Microsoft, Quoc was a Senior (Software) Architect at Intel, in its Asia based research facility in China. During that time, he was instrumental in articulating Intel’s strategies on a variety of technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), as well as having led the initial development of a pedagogical laptop called the Classmate PC. He also did a short stint with Electronic Data Systems (EDS), which is now part of Hewlett-Packard (HP). During that time, he led several Internet procurement (e-commerce) initiatives in the United States, and Japan.

Quoc is a Canadian citizen, from Montréal, Canada, but currently resides in Singapore. He has also lived in the United States, Switzerland, Japan, China, and of course, Canada.
