Since the Word 2007 blog features can't seem to connect to my Blogger alter ego in the current build, I figured that I'd give Live Writer a try. <sarcasm> It's not like I've got anything better to do while sitting here in rainy Chicago @ O'Hare...

[Warning: Not Microsoft Technology-related... yet.] The elusive electric car is getting closer to a commercial reality, despite the many conspiracy theories that abound. Two that seem likely to show up in a dealership near you in the next 12 to 18 months...

It's taken a little while to arrive, but now that it's nigh, I wonder how many *nix users (who have claimed over the years that the GUI was their primary objection to Windows) will even consider a switch to Server Core for their infrastructure servers...

Because logging starts before configurations are loaded (classic chicken-egg thing, we went with chicken apparently), if you're trying to set your connection string from a parent package variable, this no workie for logging. Doh! While I wish I were smart...

Integration Services is a beautiful high-speed engine. If BizTalk were that fast processing flat files... but I digress. There's a little thing that's missing in SSIS which bugs me. There's no try-catch concept in SSIS. I realize that enabling such functionality...
