Rahul is Sr. Product Manager in the Windows Azure team at Microsoft in Redmond looking after the Planning & Strategy of the Cloud Platform. Prior to this role, Rahul was managing the Integration/Middleware space as the Sr. Product Manager responsible for Corp Strategy & Enterprise Program executions worldwise. From 2006-2009, Rahul was the National Specialist for Integration Products at Microsoft Australia  and was based out of Sydney. In the past, he worked at SingTel Optus (second largest Telecom in Australia) where he was responsible for the Solution Architecture of EAI/B2B projects for Optus in the Mobile Division. He also held the prime responsibility of the IT Integration of Virgin Mobile with Optus following its acquisition. Prior to Optus, Rahul also worked in senior roles for Macquarie Telecom, Vitria Technology (Asia-Pacific) & Integrated Business Technologies (IBT) where he founded & led the eCommerce Division of the company after initial gigs at ComTech (now Dimension Data) & Motorola Software Centre. Rahul is both a Computer Scientist & Physicist by training with Masters in IT from QUT (Brisbane, Australia) and Masters in Solid State Physics from BHU, India. In his spare time he enjoys books, cricket, photography, travelling & spending quality time with his family & friends. He was the captain of his school & college cricket teams. He identifies himself with Buddhism and loves listening to flute from different countries. Rahul won the Microsoft Gold Circle of Excellence award in 2008 (one of the highest awards at Microsoft) and Microsoft Gold Star in 2011 and is a regular invited speaker at Software Conferences/Seminars/TechEds across the globe.
