About Ralf Herbrich's WebLog on Machine Learning and (Computer) Games

I am a researcher at Microsoft Research Cambridge and, together with Thore Graepel, I am jointly co-leading the Applied Games group. My work is centered around bringing "machine learning methods" (that is, adaptive algorithms) to computer games.

In my spare time, I am an video gamer addict. I own(ed) all of these consoles: PS One, PS2, DS, GameCube, Xbox and Xbox 360. So expect to also see some of my opinions on games.
